Summer of 2013

Summer of 2013 has been fun, fun and fun!  We tried very hard to “catch-up” on all the fun we have been missing out.  And we have been busy.  I will let the pictures speak for itself :).  Enjoy!

We had signed up for Kids Bowl Free all summer long.  And we bowled, bowled and bowled until we couldn’t bowl anymore.  Kids loved it.

We went to museums and had parties… with lots of good friends.

Timothy went to his first VBS and loved it!  And we partied more…

More museums, so we can be cultured :).  We took a mini-vacation to Legoland.

Spent time with grandparents at the Getty Museum and at the beach.

Even went on a date?!  Too cute :).  Rode the model train with friends.

Music at the Hollywood Bowl and rode the hot air balloon.

Of course, we had carousel fun and flew kites, too.

And for the first time, we went to Disneyland!

Tanaka Farms for the first time and we got to see the Endeavor.

Timothy also had his dental work done.  One extraction (top front tooth), 2 crowns, and 8 fillings.  Yikes!  Poor kid doesn’t have much of an enamel and is very prone to cavities.  Cause: grinding, meds, and/or genetics.  Who knows?!  The procedure went very smoothly and he handled it like a champ.  And our Claire started kindergarten.  She loves it!!!

Finally, just messing around at home.  And my Daniel turned 40.

I am sure I am missing some things in between… But as you can see, we have been busy.  We are thankful to be normal and to be busy.  What a blessing it is!  Thank you friends, for playing with us all summer long!

(As far as Timothy’s medical update goes… he is still getting his platelet shots.  We have reduced the dosage and are going every other week, instead of every week.  So the good news is, he is producing some platelets :).  He just needs to produce more and not be dependent on the injection.  Other than that, he has been doing great.  We will be checking the health of his immune system at the end of the year to see if he is ready to be re-vaccinated.  Thank you for your continued prayers and love.)
