Update

Since my last post, Timothy has started getting weekly nplate shots.  Nplate helps with platelet production and maintenance.  It’s been a little over a week and his platelet count has gone up from 14 to 24.  He had his second shot today.  It looks like we will be frequenting the clinic a few times a week.  His hemoglobin also went up from 7.3 to 7.5 to 7.7 the past 3 weeks.  It’s inching up very slowly.  We are thankful it’s going up nonetheless.  Otherwise, Timothy has been himself.  Playful, happy, and enjoying life.  Even with these low numbers, he is still happy.  It’s good to see him this way.  This unexpected setback caught us off guard.  Things seem to have settled and going in the right direction.  We are very grateful for where we are and how well Timothy has handled it.  Guess, life will always throw us a curveball.  Circumstance shall not define us.  We will look upward in all circumstances because we are defined not by our situations, but by our relationship with Him.
