Day +22

What did we do on our first full day at home?  We went to the clinic first thing in the morning and ended up staying for 4 hours.  Everything is ok.  One of his PICC line was acting a bit funny.  We thought it was clogged, but the issue resolved itself after waiting a few hours…  We will be returning to the clinic tomorrow and Saturday morning.  But it’s still better than being hospitalized :).

Timothy’s new gear:

Timothy cannot go outside without this mask.  It must be on everywhere, except inside our home and the doctor’s/clinic exam room.  He was not happy with it when he had to wear it yesterday to be discharged.  But by today, he was reminding me to put it on him so he can leave the clinic :).  It will protect him from contracting any unwanted germs in public places.  He is not allowed to go to any public, crowded places (even with the mask), not be exposed to too much sun, can’t eat any restaurant/fast food, and a few other restrictions.  So pretty much… he’ll either be home or the clinic.

Lastly, we found out today Timothy has 100% donor cells!!!  He has engrafted and engrafted COMPLETELY!  Praise God!

  5. 100% What a wonderful confirmation and blessing!!! That is amazing! And what an amazing little guy who adjusts so quickly to wearing such a huge mask. God definitely gave him his special temperament knowing what was in store for him. I love how God is in all the details, being okay with the mask and him reaching the full 100%!!!
Will continue to pray for all the details to come!
